A set of 7 Reference Line Maps, charts and DSS photos of M52 & NGC 7635, Caldwell Object C11 (Bubble Nebula) . This series of maps has been developed for use with the Reference Line Method. This method adapts well to both binoculars and telescopes.
Observing Notes:
1. The reference line from Cassiopeia to Cepheus is all you need to find M52.
2. Smyth’s description of M52 (References) is very accurate: “An irregular cluster of stars…the field is one of singular beauty.”
3. If you don’t see the Bubble Nebula, it may be because your eye is not a camera. The Bubble Nebula surrounds an 8.5 mag. star. It is difficult to see because of its low surface brightness.
